Studio Catch Horticulture Solutions consists of a team of six innovation-oriented designers. We see that agriculture and horticulture are facing major problems, including changing regulations regarding pesticide use, personnel shortages and more. We believe that in collaboration with growers we can make agriculture and horticulture future-proof.
Over the past two years, we have developed 'Backie', the pesticide-free slug trap, in close collaboration with a number of growers from the cut Cymbidium cultivation. This trap is the answer to controlling the Ambigolimax Valentianus (a small slug) without the use of pesticides. Backie is part of our mission to make agriculture and horticulture future-proof, and we see that many steps still need to be taken. We have a continuing interest in new challenges and projects to help this sector.
